On the 11th of March 2009 was Te Awamutu Intermediate’s swimming sports.I was in the championship 25m freestyle. The starter said on your marks bizz and off we went. I didn’t hear it so I probably started about 2 seconds late but I caught up and it was close between me and my friend Jake. I think he beat me so I got 5th but I might have got fourth I don’t know because there is only markers for first, second and third. I was also in another final the two lengths. I got fifth in that and Jake got 2nd. He dd really well. I think he was stoked. I also went in the fun races and non competitive like breaststroke. I got 2nd in that it was easy. I also did a walking race I lost in that. Tall people did way better like a guy called Adam. He’s massive in height. I think he’s tallest in the school. The final event was four lengths. Jake was winning for the first three laps then he got too tired and slowed down. A guy called Mark beat him and got first. A really tall guy called Te Rerenga passed him as well.He ended up 3rd. He did pretty good!!
